Therapy fees

An anti-oppressive approach to pricing.

We use a values-based fee structure for therapy. This means we offer three rates rather than one fixed price — and we ask clients to choose the rate that honestly reflects their financial situation.

The reasoning is straightforward: those who are able to pay a higher rate make it possible for us to hold a small number of reduced-cost places for those who are not. It is a deliberate attempt to make specialist trauma therapy accessible to people across different financial circumstances, without compromising the quality or sustainability of the service.

We ask that you choose the rate that honestly reflects your situation.

Redistribution rate

£220

For those with financial stability and disposable income. Paying this rate directly supports access for others.

Sustainability rate

£150

The full cost of a session. This rate keeps the practice sustainable and allows us to continue offering reduced-cost places.

Access rate

Speak to us

A small number of reduced-cost places are available. If cost is a genuine barrier, please mention this when you enquire. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Not sure where to start? Book a free 30-minute consultation — no pressure, no obligation.

Not sure which rate applies to you? A useful rule of thumb: if you own your home, have no significant debt, and are not supporting dependants on a single modest income, the standard or redistribution rate is likely the right choice.

Specialist psychological assessment fees

Clinical psychological assessments.

These are comprehensive assessments for adults seeking to understand their psychological presentation — covering PTSD, CPTSD, personality disorder, dissociation, and related difficulties. The assessment involves clinical interview, psychometric testing, and a detailed written formulation report.

£200

per hour

Total assessment typically £1,600–£2,000 all-inclusive

This covers all assessment sessions, psychometric scoring and interpretation, written formulation report, and one feedback session. The total number of hours depends on the complexity of your presentation and will be discussed before the assessment begins. We will always give you a realistic estimate upfront — you will never be charged more than the agreed figure.

Clinical psychological assessments.

If you need a shorter summary letter for a PIP application, GP referral, or similar purpose, this can be provided from the findings of a full assessment at no additional charge. We do not offer standalone letters without a preceding full assessment.

All assessments are conducted via secure video call. A free 30-minute consultation is available before you commit — get in touch to arrange one.

Forensic & medico-legal fees

Expert witness, parole, and forensic assessment fees.

Forensic and medico-legal work is priced on a case-by-case basis. The time required for a report varies considerably depending on the complexity of the case, the volume of disclosure, the assessment tools required, and the jurisdiction. An indicative fee estimate can be provided based on a brief case outline.

Factors that affect the fee

Jurisdiction

UK, Cayman Islands, and Bermuda cases are each governed by different court requirements and procedural rules. Where in-person assessment or court attendance is required outside your jurisdiction, travel costs will be confirmed in the fee estimate.

Timescale

Whether a rapid turnaround is required for an imminent hearing

Court attendance

Oral evidence at hearing or trial — fees for court attendance are confirmed at the point of instruction

Legal aid: We accept legally aided cases in criminal, family, civil, and parole matters in England and Wales. Please indicate at the point of enquiry if the case is legally aided and confirm the funding type. Please note we are unable to commence work on a legally aided case until written confirmation of funding approval has been received.

For expert witness work we accept instructions from solicitors only. An indicative timescale and fee estimate can be provided based on a brief case outline. We work across criminal, family, civil, and parole contexts in the UK, and across equivalent jurisdictions in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda.

To discuss a case or receive a written fee estimate, please get in touch with a brief outline of the instruction.
