Clinical Psychologist

About Me

I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience working across NHS and specialist mental health services. Since 2014, I have supported individuals in a range of settings including inpatient units, community services, and specialist teams, working with people experiencing complex and enduring psychological difficulties.

My clinical work is grounded in supporting individuals who have experienced complex trauma, particularly those living with emotional and relational difficulties. I currently work within a specialist service for individuals with complex needs, where I provide psychological assessment, therapy, and consultation as part of a multidisciplinary team.

I have a particular interest in helping people make sense of their experiences and move towards recovery in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable. My approach is shaped by a belief that emotional distress is best understood in the context of a person’s life experiences, rather than as something inherently “wrong” with them. This allows me to bring compassion, curiosity, and a non-judgemental stance to my work.

As a Black British woman, I bring both personal and professional awareness of how identity, power, and systemic factors can impact mental health. I am passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, understood, and supported to explore the impact of marginalisation and adversity on their lives.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

Many of the people I work with have experienced long-standing difficulties in relationships, emotional regulation, or a sense of not feeling understood by others or services. Often, these experiences are rooted in earlier life experiences, including trauma or environments where needs were not consistently met.

In our work together, I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore these experiences at your own pace. I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your individual story. Together, we will work to develop a shared understanding of your experiences and identify ways of moving forward that feel manageable and meaningful.

My aim is not simply to reduce distress, but to support you in building a life that feels more connected, stable, and aligned with who you are.
