Dr. Adele Gordon
Senior Clinical Psychologist
About Me
I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist with broad and deep experience working across forensic, inpatient, and community mental health settings with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My work is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice, and shaped by a commitment to equity, representation, and reflective care.
Alongside my clinical work in forensic child and adolescent mental health services (FCAMHS), I previously lectured and supervised at Coventry and Warwickshire Universities, where I led on diversity and inclusion within the Clinical Psychology Doctorate. I also serve as a nationwide mentor for Black psychologists through NHS England, supporting leadership development and systemic change across the profession.
I bring curiosity, creativity, and compassion into every space I work in—whether supporting individuals with complex needs, facilitating reflective practice, or contributing to service reform.

What It’s Like to Work With Me
I bring warmth, honesty, and cultural humility into my work. My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, grounded in a belief that safe therapeutic relationships make space for complexity, growth, and change. Whether I’m working one-on-one or within systems, I aim to create spaces where clients feel empowered, respected, and supported—especially those whose experiences have historically been marginalised or misunderstood.
My work is values-led, shaped by my commitment to justice, equity, and representation within and beyond mental health services.
