About ME
I’m a Black, Caribbean Psychologist originally from the beautiful Cayman Islands. My work is rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and a deep belief in the healing potential of safe, compassionate relationships.
With over a decade of clinical experience across the UK, Canada, and the Caribbean, I’ve worked in diverse settings—including medium-secure hospitals, prisons, outpatient services, and private practice. My expertise includes forensic psychological assessment, trauma therapy, crisis intervention, and supporting individuals with complex trauma, personality difficulties, neurodivergence, and severe and enduring mental health conditions.
I hold:
- A Practice Doctorate in Forensic Psychology from the University of Birmingham
- A MSc in Forensic Psychology from the University of Kent
- An BSc in Psychology from the University of Toronto
- A MSc in Business & Organisational Psychology from Coventry University
I am a:
- HCPC-registered Forensic Psychologist (UK)
- Certified Clinical Trauma Professional
- Trained EMDR Therapist
- Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Level 1 Teacher
My Values
On a personal and semi-professional level, I identify as an aspiring liberation psychologist. I’m committed to dismantling oppressive systems and creating inclusive, culturally attuned spaces where people feel safe, seen, and supported in their full humanity.
My work—whether in therapy, coaching, supervision, or consulting—is always about making room for truth, connection, and transformation.
I currently live in the North East of England, but through the power of the internet, I work with clients and organisations globally. Offline, I’m a dog mum, Caribbean-sea daydreamer, and unapologetic anime enthusiast. I’m also a compassionate nerd who believes that joy, humour, and justice belong in the room with us.
