About me

I’m a Black, Caribbean Psychologist hailing from the beautiful Cayman Islands. I have worked and studied in Cayman, Canada, and the UK, completing my doctorate in Forensic Psychology at the University of Birmingham in 2017.

For over a decade, I’ve worked clinically in various settings, including hospitals, prisons, and outpatient services, providing psychological assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention for individuals with offending histories, traumatic backgrounds, severe and enduring mental illnesses, neurodivergence, individuals diagnosed with personality disorders and those who have learning disabilities and difficulties.

On a more personal (semi-professional) level, I consider myself an aspiring liberation psychologist deeply committed to dismantling oppressive systems and fostering spaces of inclusivity and empowerment.

The entirety of my career has been dedicated to working with individuals who are left unseen or unheard and I strive to create environments where participants feel valued and safe enough to embrace the full spectrum of the human experience. Alongside this, I live in the North East (but through the power of the internet am able to connect to participants globally!). I am a dog mom and compassionate nerd. I am a deep lover of anime and the Caribbean sea (and sun!).
